The identification of Haraam or Halaal is either due to the presence of
ingredients known to be Haraam or production processing involving the use of
Haraam substances in them. Many manufacturers can not guarantee that ALWAYS the
ingredients come from vegetable based products. They buy their supplies at
the market that may or may not be animal based. Some ingredients may be produced
with or without alcohol in them. Some other manufacturers refuse to disclose the
ingredients due to secrecy of their special formula. When a manufacturer can not
produce such a guarantee in above three cases, the product is classified as "Mushbooh/Unknown"
or "Halal if no alcohol is used in flavor".
