American Experience Summit

A National Summit to promote the well-being of Arab and Muslim youth took place with  participation of more than hundred Muslims and other American participants during March 25-27, 2008 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Several speakers addressed the audiences. Dr. Noel Saleh, Esq. gave a speech over the history of Arabs in America. Dr. Seyyid Sayeed, PhD and national director of Islamic Society of North America described the current situation of Muslims in US society while Lavina Limon , president and EO, US committee for refugees and immigrants outlined the existing problems and obstacles ahead.
More than twenty other workshops covering different related issues were also in the afternoon.
Two representatives from the Islamic Education Center also participated in the summit.
